Hamid Karzi, the first puppet leader beneficiary of the “War on Terror” made some puzzling remarks in this CNN.com story.
When asked about Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar,
Karzai said the capture of Saddam would “definitely have a psychological impact on the whole network of terrorists and terrorism. And it will prove to them that they cannot hide and yet kill people.”
Nice to see that the administration talking points are making their way to Afganistan.
A) We’ve been looking for bin Laden, Omar, Zawahiri for much longer than we were looking for Saddam.
B) Saddam: A bad guy, but not a terrorist.
C) bin Laden and Omar have been killing people from their hiding places.
So now that the administration (except for Dick Cheney) has had to capitulate on the bin Laden / Saddam link, they just get Karzi to carry the water. Bravo!
