Tom DeLay‘s well-earned nickname in Congress is “The Hammer“, because he pounds away until he gets what he wants.

This is far from the worst thing he has ever done, but it is one of the most hypocritical.

“I want to wake up outside the border of a city that never sleeps.”

Last year, the Republicans decided to move the date of their convention to New York City and time it to coincide with the anniversary of 9-11. Crass? Yes. But not unexpected. In the interim, The Prez and Congress have reneged on part of the $20 Billion promised to help rebuild NYC.

Now DeLay and Co. want to rape the memory of 9-11 while staying offshore on a cruise ship. Nice. A Norwegian Cruise Lines ship, no less. I don’t think Norway was in the Axis of Evil, but I don’t remember them being with us, so that must mean they were against us. I might give them a pass if was a Disney ship, but I guess DeLay would rather climb on the rock wall than join the conga line…

Don’t you have some gerrymandering to do…?
