More about voting corruption

Following up on an earlier entry, it seems that the voting machine scandal
is much deeper and uglier that I thought.

This quote is from the CEO of the company that makes the voting machines:

“[I am] committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President next year.”
Walden O’Dell, CEO of Diebold [source]

It seems that Diebold isn’t happy about people knowing how they do business.
They are attempting to use the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to sue people
who post copies of their memos. Here is the full story with links to the documents.
As soon as we can put Lionel Hutz on retainer, we will be posting copies here.

This situation is horrifying.

the whole first chapter of The Best Democracy Money Can Buy (by Palast) is on the voting machine debacle in FL. Of particular interest is the rigging of machines in in poor, black neighborhoods to eat and destroy misfed ballots; whereas in “nicer” areas the machines gave voters with misfeeds another chance to re-vote. ’scuse me while i boot.

That link has a bit about one precinct in FL where Gore
registered -16000 votes. But we’re supposed to get over it, right?
